Chapter 26: A normal Tuesday? [Part III]

~*~

Stood at the corner of the junior high section of St Antoinette Academy of Fine Arts 3rd level where the normal classrooms are situated was a girls toilet beside the staircase. The ladies were rather clean. To the right of the entrance was a row of about half a dozen cubicles and opposite the white cubicles were the basins with a long horizontal straight mirror running parallel with the sink.

#splash

Monoki looked up, her face dripping wet with water and the faucet the flowing. Her hands rested on the sink's top and looked at the mirror. Her face was dripping wet and scrunched up in anger.

"How dare him..." Monoki growled as she hit the sink with anger. Her fist clenched and pupils raging with flames of fury as she remembered what the couple did to her.

Then the door clicked open and in entered a blonde hair lass. Monoki glanced a little to her side and saw the girl who had just entered. Smiling to herself she turned around fully to face the lass at the doorway. Stella looked at Monoki and walked away ignoring the arrogance in Monoki's eyes.

"matte kudasai." Monoki called out dramatically as she walked away from the sink and approached Stella till she's a few step away from her and crossed her arms over her chest. Stella took a deep breath and turned around.

#slap

An ominous silence followed after the slap was dealt. Stella stared at the ground shocked. She tried reasoning in her mind what she had done to incur Monoki's wrath. Footsteps echoed as Monoki circled Stella eyeing at her as like how a predator eyed its prey. Stella bent forward holding her slapped cheek in her palm. Looking up, she saw Monoki wearing a sadistic smile.

"That was for what your friends did to me." Monoki hissed as she pulled her bangs covering her right cheek away revealing a bruise no bigger than the size of an apple. Stella straightened her posture and opened her mouth to reply. But before any words could appear, a kick on her abdominal area made her fall and hit her head on the tiled wall. Blood oozed out from the scalp where the impact was the greatest staining the cosmic Latte coloured ceramic tiles. Stella looked at Monoki, wincing at the intense head pain she is experiencing now.

"What now?" Stella gasped as she tried stumbling back up to her feet. Stella looked up, blood trickling down her face covering at least half of her face with the translucent liquid stained crimson. “Why are you doing this?” Stella quivered as she stumbled forward edging nearer to where Monoki was standing. Monoki looked at Stella with a disgusted look and spat at her shoes.

“You disgust me! Stop trying to lay your filthy paws on Kira. He’s mine, MINE I repeat. You go near him again, and I won’t be so lenient on you.” Monoki hissed as she took a pail of water and splashed it over Stella before turning and walking arrogantly without a care of the world out of the ladies as though the ‘bullying’ did not just happen.

With Monoki gone and out of sight, Stella crumbled down onto her knees, her school skirt pooling on the floor. Blood dripped down her chin and cascaded to the tiled ground making blobs of scarlet red form. Her drenched shirt clung tightly onto her petite frame as the white fabric turned translucent.

The door flung open and Stella looked up and saw Kyuu all panting and sweating at the doorway. He looked at Stella and flew to her side.

“Stella!” He gasped worriedly as he pulled Stella’s wet body towards him. He peeled his cardigan off and rested it on her shoulder to ensure that her body remain warm despite her being wet in this cool weather. From his pants pocket, he took out a handkerchief and pressed it against the bleeding wound. Within instant, the once dry handkerchief was now soaked and stained with blood. Looking at the immense bleeding and Stella’s shaking form, Kyuu fished out his cell phone and dialed for Fuyume to assist.

“Kyuu…” Stella whispered as she peeked through her squinted eyes. Kyuu looked down as his gaze swept across the pitiful state of the young pianist that laid in his arms bleeding as her panting became ragged, he felt a jab in his heart that made tears welled at the corner of his eyes. Stella’s iris dropped to the side of her eye as though she was peeking at the corner of the room and did not want to see Kyuu’s tears that was falling off his cheek and landing on her palm.

“Tasu…kete…” Stella breathed heavily as her grip around Kyuu’s blazer tightened.

“Matte, Fuyume is coming…” Kyuu promised as he took her hand into his and squeezed it hoping that the pain would prevent Stella from slipping into slumber.

“Yu…ki…” Stella sighed as she heard heavy footsteps resound through the hallway and enter the small room. A shadow cast over Stella as her eyelids grew heavy and droopy. Soon, darkness engulfed her swallowing her into a pitch black well of unconsciousness…

#Few Hours later…

Eyelids opened and meek aquamarine orbs peeked out. Stella sat up and held her head when an acute pain shot through her body. She turned her head; eyes squinted to adjust to the sudden exposure of light.

“Where… am I?” Stella queried as words flew out of her chapped lips. From the side of her eyes, she saw a lady sitting on the revolving chair. The seat rest was facing her and the chair was settled behind the nurse’s desk. The setting sun at the background suggested that the moon is getting ready for its grand entrance and the sun was sinking back into the comfort of its house to prepare for the next morning’s grandeur display of its art.

The person behind the armrest swirled the chair around and a pair of cold blue gray orbs flashed and stared straight at the injured pianist. Stella looked at the stranger who was sitting at that chair; her body trembling in fear of the stranger’s yet to be action. After awhile of visual contact, the stranger stood up and walked towards Stella. As the light illuminating the back of the stranger faded as she approached the blonde, the facial features slowly became visible to Stella.

“Mo-Monoki…” Stella gasped.

Said slowly walked towards Stella; a smirk formed across her face as she watched Stella look helplessly like a pitiful prey being cornered by its predator. Finally, she stopped before the railing of the bed where Stella laid rested. Monoki raised her hand and Stella immediately cowered away. Her eyes shut and her hands trembling terribly. Fear crawled up her spine as she felt Monoki’s hand brush across her tender bruise along her delicate jaw line.

“Don’t worry,” Monoki whispered. “As long as you don’t touch Kira, I won’t bother you.” Stella looked at Monoki; her fears got the better of her as tears cascaded down her cheeks and landed on her palm. Giving any remaining hope of having Kira, Stella briefly nodded as she shut her eyes unwilling to see Monoki’s smug expression. Monoki smirked as she pats Stella’s head before leaving the room.

After Monoki left the room, Stella opened her eyes and was finally relief when she saw that she was finally left alone. Stella breathed in deeply before wiping her tears. As she stood up and turned to leave the nurse office, she turned to look out of the window. The sun that is completing his daily rounds crashed at the line where the sky meets the land and a wide array of colours became the colour palette of the late afternoon sky.

The setting morning sun painted the sky with vibrant hues of orange, yellow and red… but soon, the vibrant tones painted by the masculine Sun was wiped away with a stroke of the maiden Moon, and soon, the sky turned dull and monotonous with little stars blinking to light the sky
